BricsCAD Lite (‘BricsCAD Classic’ in V20 and below) is designed and optimized for 2D drafting workflows. It reads and writes native DWG, and offers a LISP API for customization and the automation of repetitive tasks.
BricsCAD Pro is the right choice for anyone who wants more power and tools, and those who want access to the hundreds of third party applications built on the BRX API. All the advanced parametric solid modelling features found in BricCAD Platinum (and much, more more) can now be found in Pro.
BricsCAD Mechanical contains all the functionality of BricsCAD Pro, and is optimized for 3D mechanical part and component design. It contains an assembly modeling workflow, the creation of sheet metal parts using unique lofted solid representations, kinematic animations, bills-of-materials and exploded-view creation tools.

LISP Routines
You can run LISP routines developed in AutoCAD® and other CAD applications, and develop your own in the BricsCAD LISP Advanced Development Environment (BLADE). BricsCAD is based on OpenLISP, with modern memory management and great performance.

Convert repeated geometry to Block Definitions
Blockify automatically creates a block definition and replaces all matching sets of entities with block references throughout your entire drawing. You can reduce DWG file size up to 90% by using Blockify to find repetitive geometry and convert it into block references.
